We are currently looking for a motivated Scientist to join the Proteomics & Biomarkers group within the Therapeutic Proteins team.
Staff Scientist ' Proteomics & Biomarkers
Summary: A Ph.D. level scientist is needed to lead our proteomic & biomarker group. This scientist in concert with junior lab personnel will be responsible for carrying out proteomic-based experiments that contribute to our understanding in several research focus areas. In addition biomarker discovery in preclinical mouse models is expected.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
-Supervising the day-to-day activities of junior lab personnel
-Troubleshooting proteomic (SILAC, 2D DIGE, Luminex) based experiments
-Represent the Proteomic & Biomarker Group at interdepartmental meetings.
-Keep the group abreast of the latest proteomic and biomarker trends.

Experience:
Knowledge and Skills:
-Hands on experience with HID exchange for epitope mapping
-Hands on experience with nano LC-MALDI TOF/TOF analysis of SILAC experiments
-Experience with ETTAN 2D DIGE & automated spot picking
-Knowledge of Luminex (FLEXMAP3D & 100/200 series)
-Strong manager that can lead outstanding research personnel
-Must be highly motivated with a positive attitude towards learning.
-Must be able to work productively in a fast-paced collaborative team environment.
-Excellent communication skills are essential.
Education and Experience:
-Requires a Ph.D. in chemistry, biochemistry or related field with 3-8 years of experience past a post-doc.
-Prior managerial experience essential.
