Post Doc Fellow

A postdoctoral fellow position is available in the laboratory of Andrew Liu in the Department of Biology at The University of Memphis, Memphis, Tennessee, to study the biological rhythms in mice with an emphasis on cellular circadian clock mechanisms (see Cell, 2007, 129: 605-616; PLoS Genet, 2008, 4: e1000023; funded by NSF) or on circadian animal physiology of the heart and kidney(see Cell, 2009, 139: 199-210). The research offers interdisciplinary training in molecular and cellular genetics, mouse genetics, and genomics, as well as behavior and physiology. Qualified applicants must hold a Ph.D. in a relevant biological field and have a strong interest in studying gene function and animal physiology. Experience with mouse genetics is desired but not required.
