Vice President – Sales and Marketing

Location: US, flexible (International Travel Required)



Idealpeople have been retained by ground-breaking, and category leading biotechnology outsourcing business to find an A-player Vice President (or SVP) Sales to double or triple bottom line and build on an existing platform of success.



Reporting directly into the CEO of a company who have demonstrated annual revenue gains of up to 30% year-on-year, and with over 300 scientists and 80 clients worldwide (mainly US, EU and Japan) this firm is prime potential for IPO in a booming market.



In order to take the business to the next level we seek a strong leader and individual contributor who can accelerate the path to listing, build on the existing competence of the sales team and help to create something very special in the integrated Biotech/CRO market. You will target potential customers in pharmaceutical and biotech sectors with services around drug discovery and clinical research outsourcing

In order to qualify for this incredible role, you will be:



* Experienced in working in a top-seat sales position for a CRO or related company as VP Sales, Director of Sales.
* A Rainmaker, able to leverage industry connections to sign big-ticket, long term deals in the USA.
* Able to lead and energize a team of capable sales people.
* Able to demonstrate deep knowledge and insight into the present and future of the biotech/pharma industry.
* Able to demonstrate consistent achievement against multi-million dollar quota.
* High integrity
