We are looking for a research associate to join the Protein Expression Sciences team. The candidate will be responsible for a wide range of molecular biology related research. The successful candidate will have experience in a wide range of molecular biology techniques and work well in a team setting.
General molecular biology work: 90%
Record data in notebook/database: 10%
Technical Skills:
PCR, sequence analysis, cloning, gel electrophoresis
Core Competencies: construction and confirmation of plasmid DNAs using the above techniques
Education/Experience:
- B.S. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biology or related field plus 5-8 years of experience in general molecular biology skills such as PCR, mutagenesis, plasmid subcloning and DNA sequence analysis.
- M.S. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biology or related field plus 2-5 years of experience in general molecular biology skills such as PCR, mutagenesis, plasmid subcloning and DNA sequence analysis.
Strong communication and organization skills are also required.
