1. DNA extraction from various cells and tissue sources
2. Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR)
3. Gel electrophoresis and capillary electrophoresis
4. DNA/RNA sequencing
5. Southern blot and related techniques
6. Analyses and interpretation of results
