Job Title: Research Associate III/IV - Immunology/Inflammation

The immune group is seeking a motivated and talented Research Associate. The ideal candidate will be part of a highly interactive team. The successful candidate will study mouse phenotyping and disease models to join a highly interactive immunology team. Candidate will be responsible for analysis of knockout mouse phenotypes and disease models, as well as screening antibodies candidates in primary cell based assays and testing novel protein therapeutics in vivo. The job will include design of in vitro cell based assays manipulating mouse and human primary Dendritic and T cells. In addition, the candidate will participate in projects involving Dendritic and T cell responses under steady state or inflammatory condition (TLR and Notch signaling) using multi-color (LSRII) flow cytometry.
 
Requirement:
- Bachelor's degree
- At least 4-6 years of experience in the field of cellular immunology, including flow cytometry, tissue culture and in vitro cell-based assays of immune function.
- Additional experience in tissue culture (maintenance and transfection of transformed and primary cells), cell-based assays, cytokine ELISA, mouse phenotyping and rodent disease models, western blotting, and flow cytometry are highly desirable
- Basic computer literacy and experience collecting and analyzing biological data on the computer is a necessity
 
- In vitro and in vivo experimental design, Flow Cytometry (Calibur, LSR), ELISA/ELISPOT, Primary cell culture (Dendritic cells, T cells), DNA cloning, Histology, Immunoprecipitation, Western blot
 
- In vitro experiments such as antigen presentation assays and research studies, including techniques and methodologies to be used
- In vivo experiments using, mouse disease models, analyzing results, and documenting findings
- Aids in developing novel methodologies or technologies for cell based assays
- Reports research findings and typically contribute to scientific/technical populations or journals
- Develops creativity and implements company practices and priorities to obtain solutions to technical problems
