We are looking for an experienced research associate to join a team working in three different areas:
(a) In vitro evaluation of new systems for controlling gene expression and other related technologies, using ES cells as surrogates for mice;
(b) In vivo evaluation of new systems for controlling gene expression, and other related technologies;
(c) Development of iPS cells for various applications; therefore, a strong background in ES cell culture is essential, and human ES cell and/or iPS cell experience is desirable.
 
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in molecular biology (e.g. Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, tissue culture, virus as a deliver tool for gene expression, shRNA, etc), as well as in animal model (ES cells culture and mouse work).
 
Requirement:
- BS or MS in molecualr biology or relevant discipline with 5+ years of research experience.
- Ability to work independently, executing experiments with limited supervision, and receptiveness to taking scientific direction from team leader.
- Ability to function effectively in inter-disciplinary teams, thus, excellent inter-personal skill is essential.
- Ability to work across projects in parallel rather than being dedicated to a small subset of projects for long periods of time.
- Excellent communication, documentation and organization skills.
