Location: Tarrytown, NY 10591
Located in historic Tarrytown, New York, convenient to New York City, Regeneron is a fully integrated biopharmaceutical company that discovers, develops, and commercializes medicines for the treatment of serious medical conditions. In addition to ARCALYST® (rilonacept) Injection for Subcutaneous Use, its first commercialized product, Regeneron has therapeutic candidates in clinical trials for the potential treatment of cancer, eye diseases, inflammatory diseases, and pain, and has preclinical programs in other diseases and disorders.
With a strong research base and product focus, Regeneron is able to understand the biology of specific disease states, discover potential therapeutic candidates, and evaluate product candidates in clinical trials. Regeneron has developed several proprietary platform technologies and incorporated these into a comprehensive system to accelerate the discovery and design of fully human antibodies and move these candidates rapidly into clinical development. The Molecular Biology and Bioassay group in the Therapeutic Proteins Department seeks an individual with experience in molecular biology and tissue culture. The successful candidate will be generating DNA constructs in support of the company's Veloclmmune human antibody pipeline. The incumbent will generate DNA constructs to be used to produce protein reagents to support mAb screening in Therapeutic Proteins. Manipulate constructs through subeloning and mutagenesis. Perform transfections of constructs produced into cells to assess expression levels. Determine and analyze variable region sequences of mAbs produced within Therapeutic Proteins. Molecular Biology skills are essential with 2-5 years of experience. Cell culture skills are a plus. Experience: The candidate should have experience with molecular biology techniques, including plasmid construction, DNA manipulations, RNA isolation, PCR, and sequence analysis. Tissue culture skills are a plus. The candidate should possess a degree in molecular biology or a related field and have 2-5 years of laboratory experience. General computer skills such as MS office are required, and experience with sequence analysis software is a plus. It is essential for the candidate to be highly motivated and to have strong organizational and time-management skills to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. TECHNICAL SKILLS: The person needs a good understanding, plus extensive hands on experience with SDS-PAGE Electrophoresis, Western Blotting, and Protein Purification using Affinity, Gel Filtration, Ion Exchange, HPLC Reverse Phase, and Hydrophobic Chromatography. Some experience with BCA Protein determination, LAL, and ELISA assays. Knowledge of Sterile techniques with cell handling. Apply Online:https://sh.webhire.com/servlet/av/jd?ai= 874&ji=2420778&sn=I
