Process Development Engineer II/III or Research Engineer

Job opening in the Cell Culture and Media Development group in Preclinical Manufacturing and Process Development. Candidate will be involved in the development of high performance processes for eventual commercialization. He/she will be responsible for cell culture in shaker flasks as well as the operation and maintenance of cell culture in 2L bioreactors. Some key aspects of daily lab work will include aseptic technique, bioreactor sampling, bioreactor nutrient feeding, and data organization and interpretation. He/she will interact with several other groups involved in the research process, including cell line development, bioreactor scale-up, purification, and manufacturing. Qualified applicants should have a bachelor's degree in Bio-related or Chemical Engineering, and an interest in cell culture and/or antibody development and production.

Daily responsibilities will include (but are not limited to): cell cultivation in shaker flasks up to 1L (25%); 2L bioreactor setup and maintenance (55%); data documentation and interpretation (10%); and lastly, laboratory organization and operation (10%).

Experience:
Experience:
--Bachelor's Degree in Bio-related or Chemical Engineering
--0-2 years experience in a laboratory setting (pharmaceutical and/or cell culture experience a plus, but not
required)
Technical Skills:
--Computer proficiency (required)
--Written and Oral Communication Skills
--Cell Culture experience (preferred, but not required)
