With a strong research base and product focus, Regeneron is able to understand thoroughly the biology of specific disease states, discover potential therapeutic candidates and evaluate product candidates in clinical trials. Regeneron has developed several proprietary platform technologies, which it has incorporated into a comprehensive system that allows it to accelerate the discovery and design of fully human antibodies and move these candidates rapidly into clinical development. Job opening in the Cell Culture and Media Development group in Preclinical Manufacturing and Process Development. Candidate will be involved in the development of high performance processes for eventual commercialization. He/she will be responsible for cell culture in shaker flasks as well as the operation and maintenance of cell culture in 2L bioreactors. Some key aspects of daily lab work will include aseptic technique, bioreactor sampling, bioreactor nutrient feeding, and data organization and interpretation. He/she will interact with several other groups involved in the research process, including cell line development, bioreactor scale-up, purification, and manufacturing. Qualified applicants should have a bachelor's degree in Bio-related or Chemical Engineering, and an interest in cell culture and/or antibody development and production. Daily responsibilities will include (but are not limited to): cell cultivation in shaker flasks up to 1L (25%); 2L bioreactor setup and maintenance (55%); data documentation and interpretation (10%); and lastly, laboratory organization and operation (10%).
